Photoluminescent Print Technology
Photoluminescent (PL) inks absorb light energy and re-emit it as visible light when the ambient light source is removed. Our PL labels use strontium aluminate pigment — the same chemistry used in professional safety signage — which is significantly brighter and longer-lasting than the zinc sulphide used in budget glow products.
Glow intensity and duration depends on the charge time and the intensity of the light source used to charge the label. In normal indoor ambient light, labels begin glowing immediately when lights go out and remain visible for 4–8 hours. Under UV pre-charging, labels achieve maximum brightness within 2 minutes and remain visible for up to 10 hours.
