Why Cast Vinyl Outperforms Everything Else on Glass
The difference between cast and calendered vinyl matters enormously on vehicle and shop window applications. Calendered (cheap) vinyl is extruded under pressure, which creates internal stress that makes it contract over time — it lifts at edges, cracks in cold weather, and leaves behind adhesive residue when removed. Cast vinyl is made by pouring a liquid film and allowing it to cure without stress. It conforms perfectly to curved and compound surfaces, stays flexible in cold, and removes cleanly after years in service.
Our vehicle window stickers are screen-printed with UV-cured inks onto high-performance cast vinyl. The result is a graphic that maintains full colour saturation after years of direct sunlight — the same UV-stable inks we use on flight case labels and industrial identification, applied to the thinner substrate appropriate for glass.
One-way vision (perforated) vinyl is available for windows where you need full-coverage graphics on the outside without blocking sightlines from inside the vehicle or shop. The perforation is invisible at normal viewing distances but provides 30–40% light transmission.
