Fomo Rentals is a cinema and AV equipment rental company supplying cameras, lenses, lighting and support equipment to film and television productions. Their inventory represents significant capital investment — clear, professional labelling is essential for asset management, loss prevention and professional presentation to production clients.
The Challenge
Cinema rental equipment is expensive, regularly transported in protective cases, and often handled under pressure on set and in the rental prep room. Labels need to clearly identify the item, carry an asset or serial number, and survive the physical handling of a busy rental operation — being pulled in and out of cases, placed on set in varying weather conditions, and returned to stock.
Standard office labels and printed tape fail quickly in this environment. Fomo Rentals needed professional-quality labels with a construction that matched the quality of the equipment they were applied to.
The Solution
Adcal Labels supplied reverse-printed PVC flight case labels for the equipment cases and polyester asset identification labels for individual items. The case labels carry Fomo Rentals branding alongside case reference numbers and contents descriptions. Equipment labels carry asset numbers and brief technical specifications for quick identification during prep.
The PVC construction labels are dimensionally stable in the temperature extremes experienced on outdoor locations, and the reverse-print construction means graphics are fully sealed and protected from physical contact during loading and unloading.
