How Cable Tail Labels Work
A cable tail label has two distinct zones. The top section is a white self-adhesive panel carrying your printed artwork — company name, cable number, input/output label, barcode or QR code. This section adheres to itself to form a flag tag visible from any angle.
Below the print panel runs a long clear tail. This tail wraps around the cable body two or three times and adheres back onto itself, not onto the cable jacket, creating a secure, rotating sleeve that stays in position but leaves no adhesive residue on the cable when eventually removed for re-labelling.
Because the tail goes around the cable body rather than the connector, fitting takes seconds — no disassembly, no downtime. A rigger patching a 200-cable stage can label the full loom in under ten minutes. The labels survive coiling, bundling with cable ties, dragging through flight case foam and being trodden on at the side of the stage.
